The main news these days is that my new album “Waterfall” is now officially released! What a great project this has been. We all had such a good time creating this new record and I’m personally very pleased with it. My eternal gratitude to all of the folks who supported my Pledge Music campaign and helped make this possible. Thank you. We’ve been playing the new songs at our shows lately which has been a blast. It’s always interesting to take what you’ve done in the studio and translate it to the live stage. Not always as simple as you might assume, but I think we’ve got some great arrangements of the new tunes. Looking forward to playing them a lot more!
On that note, we leave for Germany this week for a three week tour (all shows in Germany, with the exception of one in Austria). Can’t wait to get out there on the road with the band and play these songs “across the pond”. Details for the shows can be found in the “Gigs” section of this site. Hope to see you at the shows!
Once we’re back in Boston we’ll be doing a delayed “Official CD Release Party” on May 23rd at Atwood’s Tavern in Cambridge, MA. It’ll be a fun night, the band should be in great form after a long tour together, and I know for a fact that there will be cake! Hope those in the area can make it.
That’s about it for now. More soon.

There’s a lot going on at the moment. This Fall I’ve been hard at work on a new record with my band. We’re now in the final stages of recording and will begin mixing around New Years. It’s been a great process so far, probably the most enjoyable experience I’ve had making a record in a long time. An old friend and colleague, Ed Valauskas is producing and doing a great job. Lots of great guest appearances and my core band played fantastic on the tracks. Very excited about how it’s coming together. Scheduled for a Spring release.
In conjunction with the new album project I launched a Pledge Music campaign in October in order to bring the fans a little closer to the process and help out with the costs associated with recording. I’ve been overwhelmed by the response and generosity of so many of my fans and friends. Happily we reached our target goal earlier this month, which is amazing. The campaign will remain open until the release to give folks an opportunity to pre-order the album and gain access to the behind the scenes material I’ve been sharing along the way.
2013 looks to be a busy year. A new album to release in the Spring with two European tours in the works. I’ll also begin work on a new Parsons-Thibaud album with my good friend Joseph Parsons; really looking forward to that. My old band, Courage Brothers, is planning a reunion show here in the Boston area for the early Fall. It’s been a long time since we’ve played those songs. Should be a lot of fun dusting them off and getting back on stage together after 20 years or so! Looking to get back to some places I haven’t played in a while here in the States next year as well. More on that as it develops.
That’s a quick rundown for now. More soon.
